Samaipata Bolivia Full Day Tour
On this full day tour, you will visit the pre-Hispanic ceremonial fortress, the surrounding waterfall caves & the town’s museum. Samaipata Fort (known as El Fuerte de Samaipata) is a pre-Hispanic ceremonial fortress that consists of two parts:
- The hill with many carvings that, according to the archaeologists, it was a ceremonial center of the old town in the 14th–16th centuries.
- The area to the south of the hill that formed the administrative and residential district.
The unique testimony to pre-Hispanic traditions and beliefs is an enormous, sculptured rock located in the town below.
