BOLIVIA VACATION FOR NATURE LOVERS: UYUNI SALT FLATS BOLIVIA
Step into a dreamy world of volcanoes, hot springs, geysers, colorful lagoons and equally fascinating wildlife. The Eduardo Avaroa Reserve has a dreamlike beauty, just like the Uyuni Salt Flats. Its glacial salt lakes and icy waters are stained bright red or emerald green by microorganisms or mineral deposits. It beckons with its snow capped volcanic peaks and strange rock formations similar to those found in Dalí’s paintings. You will also find all three South American species of flamingo, including the rare James flamingo.
Price per person, based on double occupancy in 3-star hotels and basic lodges. Only private service is available for this Bolivia Vacation Package (Private transfers and private guides, in order to ensure a top service. Group tours are not available). Domestic airfares not included. |

- Tips.
The weather in Bolivia is as varied as its geography. As a general rule, the highlands are cold, the valleys are mild, and the plains are warm.
Winter is between June and September, and the warmest months are May through October.
In the highlands, like La Paz and Potosí, the climate is generally arid and cold with strong winds. The thermal scope is extensive, with average day temperatures bordering 18˚C (65˚F), and night temperatures close to 0˚C (32˚F) during winter.
Altitude sickness is associated with headache, fatigue, nausea and malaise. The symptoms do not always appear and depend on each person.
We recommend you to rest for at least 3 hours upon arrival, eat light as digestion might be slower during your first days, and drink plenty of fluids.
People may recommend you to drink coca tea. However, it is not advisable for people with heart diseases, respiratory disorders, diabetes or high blood pressure.
We recommend that you consult your physician before your travel.
The highlands (La Paz, Oruro, Potosí) are characterized by drastic temperature changes throughout the day. As such, we recommend dressing in layers so you’re comfortable at each point. In addition, the climate in this part of the country is very dry, so bring moisturizer to keep your skin from cracking.
For a more personalized experience and most of all, to ensure a high-quality service, we only offer private guided tours in Bolivia. Group tours are not available and we do not recommend them.
